Questions
You don't get married every day, so I'm sure your head may be spinning with questions.
I hope these help! If not, just flick me a message.

I'm so awkward/shy in front of the camera.
What can I do to 'prepare'?
That's my job. I'm an extremely chill person, and don't take life too seriously. We just chat and laugh during your shoot, I'll give you heaps of movement-filled prompts and direction throughout to help you loosen up & actually enjoy the photo session of the day. Engagement shoots are also an awesome way to get a bit of practice in get used to being in front of me and the camera.

How would you describe your style?
I like to capture things as they are. I'll let your train trail as it does naturally, I won't tell you how to laugh, I won't interfere with what's going on too much. I prefer to be a bit of a fly on the wall and let things play out naturally. This is how you genuinely get the best candid moments of the day. I love delivering a gallery full of variety. Formal photos that Grandma will frame, candid moments between guests and more creative/editorial details.

Do you travel?
I'm lucky enough to travel all over Aotearoa to capture weddings. I would say about half of my weddings are outside of Christchurch. I've made it super easy & all-inclusive so you don't have to think about a thing. I book my own flights, accommodation, rental car etc.
45km-100km radius of Christchurch $150
South Island $600
North Island $800
International FREE

How long do photos take on the day?
I typically need a minimum of 20 mins for this. For couple photos, I need a minimum of 15 mins - I don't want to take you away from your guests all day. This excludes any travel time.
5
How long does it take to get my photos back?
You will receive a preview/sneak peak of approx. 50 photos within 48 hours after your wedding. The remaining photos are arranged in an online gallery and available 4-6 weeks after your wedding.
6
Will I get black & white photos?
I always include black & white photos throughout your gallery, however you will also get the colour version of all photos as well.
7
How many photos will I get?
Having a film background, where a roll has only a selected amount of frames, I am a very intentional photographer even with digital. I value quality over quantity. No one needs 1000+ photos. How many photos you end up is dependent on your day but the following are the approximate amounts based on hours I'm shooting:
9 hours: 600-750 approx.
6 hours: 400-600 approx.
3 hours: 250-400 approx.

How do film photos work?
Film is only included in my premium package, otherwise it's available to add on by the roll at any time. One roll of film is 36 colour photos. I will always prioritise digital on your wedding day as it's more reliable, then will use film to capture more creative angles and details. I'll run you through pricing and how many rolls you need in my pricing guide.

How do I book?
So glad you asked! Flick me a message with your date and I'll get back to you with my packages/pricing and availability within 24 hours. If I'm free and if you're keen, we can either set up a zoom call to chat more about your plans or I can send through an invoice & contract. Once a 20% non-refundable deposit is paid and the contract is signed, you're all booked in and I'll send through some more info/next steps.
